Enrichment Visits Without Leaving Home

Some pets cope with boarding. Many settle better when the familiar smells, favourite resting spots and daily routine stay in place.

Zauber K9 offers in-home pet enrichment in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Visits can include feeding, fresh water, play and a photo update.

Care where they live

Travellers, Holiday Homes and Long Work Days

Keep familiar surroundings part of the plan. Visits can be arranged for trips away, longer shifts or a dog who needs a daytime break.

One household can include dogs and cats on the same visit, with each pet's instructions noted separately. Short and steady is often best.

Care for different temperaments

Cats, Small Pets and Shy Companions

Cats can follow scent trails, work at food puzzles or choose gentle play. If a cat prefers distance, we respect it and observe rather than force contact.

Small pets are checked for food, water, bedding and general condition. We’ll tell you if an animal is unusually quiet, withdrawn or off its food.

Quiet observation counts.

Updates you can act on

A photo and clear visit note help you see how your pet is settling while you're away.

In-Home Visit Questions

Here are the details owners usually want settled first.

How many visits a day does my pet need?

It depends on your pet's routine, age, health and time alone. Tell us their usual schedule and we can discuss a visit plan; dogs and cats may need different arrangements.

Do we meet before the first booking?

Yes. We arrange a meet-and-greet to learn your pet's routine, check the home instructions and confirm whether the visit plan is a good fit.

How are keys collected and returned?

We agree the handover method with you in advance and document the arrangement. Key and alarm details are handled securely.

What if my pet seems unwell?

We contact you using the agreed emergency details and follow the next steps you have provided. We don't diagnose or provide veterinary treatment.

Are feeding and cleaning included?

Feeding, fresh-water checks and the agreed litter or accident clean-up can be included in the visit plan. We confirm the tasks with you beforehand.
